Last year’s Overcranked left me gob-smacked.

I have a short attention span when it comes to music, and that festival covered just about every kind of aggressive, guitar driven music you could possibly think of. I sort of stumbled through last year’s OC at random, not knowing who was playing where and when or what was going on around me, but loved it all the same.

This year was going to be different. Study the timetable, plot, plan,stratergise, take no prisoners, but take plenty of merch. Leave no stone unturned, let no band go unseen, and above all, remember the fucking earplugs!! As part of the giant festival of rock glorification that is Overcranked, Rollerball will be out kicking asses and taking names this coming Saturday. We caught up with guitarist Dave Talon to talk about the band and his take on big festivals.

James Geekie : Club Phoenix is located at 235 Edward St in the CBD, right next to Rowes Arcade.  You’ll find us open from 5pm on most nights, except for 7pm on Thursdays and 4pm on Fridays to catch the early finishes that need a drink after a long week!
