Following a sell-out performance earlier this year, CASCADA release their ‘Best Of’ collection. Entitled PLATINUM, it contains all their Platinum selling singles on two discs, including Everytime We Touch, Miracle, Because the Night, Madly Deeply, Evacuate the Dancefloor and more.

An exclusive package, it features a bonus disc containing Nick Skitz’ infamous Cascada minimix and exclusive mixes from Styles & Breeze, K-Klass, Spencer & Hill, and the Real Booty Babes.

2009: Cascada broke into the pop scene with their international multi Platinum selling album ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’. 2007 saw the trio burst onto the music scene with their first Platinum EP Everytime We Touch - this led to their first taste of international Singles Chart success with Top Tens in the USA, Australia all over Europe and Asia and more.

Closer to home Cascada’s feel-good brand of dance/pop has taken the nation by storm. Fronted by singer Natalie Horler, their music is “instant, catchy and totally listenable” (auspOp).

Produced by the team responsible for DJ Sammy’s smash hit Heaven, this album is the must-have for all pop, dance and Cascada fans.

Official Brisbane Album Launch
Friday, May 28 @ The Step Inn
W Choose Mics

2 weeks ago Brisbane’s own The Optimen launched their sophomore album “The Out Of Money Experience” – and the national response has been nothing short of blistering.

· The album debuted this week at #36 in the national ARIA ‘urban’ charts
· Hau Latukefu made it his ‘album of The Week’ on triple J’s Hip Hop Show Monday just gone (Mon April 19th)
· Rage has been spinning the film clip for 80’s Babies every week since the album hit shelves (3rd consecutive airing is tonight Fri April 23rd)
· Triple J Home & Hosed presenter Steph Hughes has blogged on the clip on the official Triple J Home & Hosed blog, whilst both H&H announcers have also spun the track on air independently of each other
· FBI in Sydney have added ‘Bigger Better More’ to rotation
· PBS FM in Melbourne have tip-sheeted the entire album

And on it goes… but now, it’s been some-time between drinks for fans, but even with the AA meetings and late night phone calls to their sponsors, the Opee’s just can’t control their thirst any longer. For this reason, and also to bring the new album to the live stage, The OPees have announced that their official Brisbane “The Out Of Money Experience” album launch will be Friday, May 28 @ The Step Inn.

Not leaving anything to chance, they have joined forces with fellow Queensland compatriots Choose Mics, also launching their new album ‘Beggars Can’t Be Choosers’. Choose Mics have been steady in the studio, with 2 releases under their belt, this duo are getting it done “REAL BIG” in the lab and on the stage!

Henceforth - this is shaping up as one of the must-see events on this year’s live show calendar. With two local releases of such acclaim being launched on the one night, this is not one to miss…

The Out Of Money Experience is in stores NOW through Red Tape Entertainment / Inertia Distribution

Former triple j Unearthed winners The Pryor Theory will be launching a brand new single at Rics Bar in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on June 11th with special guests Domes and Static MCs in support, just nine months after the digital release of their debut album El Futuro. The duo, consisting of Kid Katana on vocals, turntables, and bass, and Martino Stonecorner on drums and samplers, are promising a string of non-album single-releases continuing into the foreseeable future.

The new song, Tsunami Sunrise, strays from the jazzy hip hop beats and looped-samplology of their debut into somewhat more guitar-driven, indie territory, showcasing the band’s stylistic diversity yet retaining the soulful quality and cinematic feel of their earlier material. Plans are also in motion to extend the Pryor Theory live line-up which is to be be unveiled in Melbourne later in the year.

You’ve probably driven or walked past 320 with nary a glance at the building but to admire the architecture. She is one of those venues that is part of hidden Brisbane but hidden in plain sight, a gem amidst the stones as it were.

320 on Leichhardt was previously The Alliance Hotel, and if that doesn’t ring a bell then The Actress and The Bishop might. Built in 1846 the three-storey building has a long history of catering to the public and the current incarnation is carrying on that tradition … with a difference.

Fully refurbished in order to bring back her former glory, you would expect to see elegant ladies and gentlemen in their dinner best sweeping down the front staircase under the watchful eyes of vintage movie starlets before heading to the mirrored bar for a martini. Part of what is special about 320 is ambiance without pretentiousness; comfortable and unfailingly welcoming regardless of perceived social pigeonholes.

Whether it’s lunch or dinner 7 days, breakfast on weekends or high tea served on antique bone china in the top floor dining room with corporate meal and meeting packages or events catering for up to 200 people, excellent meals and service are part and parcel of the 320 Experience. Talented and friendly staff ensure your every need is catered for while you sit back and relax in an elegant setting.

What sets this grand old dame apart? Live music and no pokies. 320 is the hub for Blues and Jazz in Brisbane as well as fast becoming the favourite spot for singularly unique Alternative events and improv comedy. The complete package is eclectic, decadent and rare.

Come in, meet the team and be immersed in the 320 Experience.
